The Book of Revelation is Linear

The book of Revelation is the most misunderstood, misinterpreted book in the Bible.  It seems scholars are overwhelmed with the number 7.  They try lining them up, putting later ones before the first ones and a million other wrong readings.

News Flash: The book is linear.  Yes, that's right read it in order chapter 1-22.  That is the way it was written; that is the only way to make sense of it.  The book is woven together by God very precisely to ensure that order is preserved.  



For example, the seals on the scroll begin being opened in 6:1 and the The seventh seal isn't opened until 8:1. That means everything in between happens in between.  The weave continues with trumpet 1 being blown 8:7 and the last being blown in 11:15. And, everything in between happens in between. The three woes begin in 9:12 and don't end until 12:12. Once again, everything in between happens in between. 

The events described in Revelation are very detailed and continue for many verses and even chapters.  Consider that the rapture begins at the opening of the sixth seal and the details are described all the way through 8:1.
